NAMI Frederick County supports NAMI Maryland’s important advocacy work. NAMI Maryland is a strong voice on mental illness, carrying out ongoing advocacy for a public policy agenda to improve mental health services throughout the state, reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, and support effective treatment and recovery programs.

Local Representatives
Advocating for mental health resources locally is imperative to being able to support those who need help in our community. Local budgets can impact Crisis Intervention Team availability, crisis housing, judicial and other necessary mental health resources and support. To help, contact us.

State Legislators
NAMI Maryland leads the charge on prioritizing statewide legislative initiatives and lean on advocates in Maryland counties, such as Frederick, to help share our lived experiences with mental illness to demonstrate how vital these initiatives are to their constituents.
